Racing History
Kyle Oman started racing Speedway Karts at the age of  8 and won his first race in that same year.  Kyle exceeded our expectations by giving our team a  Jr. 1-2cycle Cascade Karting Association Season Championship at the age of 9.  This is also the same year Kyle moved into the Kasey Kahne Jr. Sprint class at Deming Speedway.  As a rookie Sprint Car driver he led laps won heat races and finished the season 7th in a class of 28.

It was not long before sponsorship became a necessity to be competitive at this level of racing. With support from our 2003 sponsors we were able to meet our next goal in being able to score consistent top 5 finishes. The team ended the season with five 2nd place finishes, four 3rd place finishes and a strong 5th place in the year end points.

While competing in 40 Mini Sprint races during the 2003 season Kyle also participated in 3 different karting series. August 2003 Kyle earned a 2nd place national ranking in The International Karting Federations 2-cycle Grand Nationals. That summer Kyle also receive an opportunity to race a Bandolero race car (½ scale stock car w/15hp Briggs engine) on the paved 3/8th  mile of South Sound Speedway.  Kyle dominated the class, earning the poll and winning in his first ever pavement event and his first experience in this type of race car.

In 2004, at the age of 11 all of our hard work and sponsorship dedication paid off.  Kyle Oman Motor Sports finished the season with 6 wins 16 top 3's and 19 top 5's but most importantly Kyle Oman is The 2004 Kasey Kahne Jr. Sprint Champion. Taking on the challenge of racing two cars in one night,  Kyle raced his Jr Sprint while competing in a 250cc Micro Sprint for last 6 races of the season .  In his first attempt in the new class Kyle qualified 7th and raced the veterans hard, fitting in as if he had been competing in this car all season.

Kyle exceeded all of our expectation again in 2005.  From the beginning of the season the team was contending for the win in the 250cc Jr. Class on any given night. The team finished the season with 7 wins, the most in the class and scored 14 top three finishes.  Kyle did so well that he made the jump to the 250cc Adult class at the young age 12 to finish the year.

For 2006 Kyle Oman Motorsports has taken yet another huge step in Kyle's racing career.  The team has recently purchased a Legends Car ( 5/8's scale 37 Chevy Sedan w/1200cc Yamaha engine ) to race in the Northwest Legends Series. While traveling throughout the Northwest, Kyle will be competing on 7 tracks in 25 different events.  In addition Kyle has been approached to race several Minisprint races as a substitute driver at Deming Speedway.  With lots of hard work and the support of our valued sponsors we are confident that once again Kyle Oman Motor Sports will reach its goals of leading laps, winning heat races and being a proven top 5 car every night.

WOW
What a 2007 season for Kyle Oman Motorsports, winning 10 races, sweeping both 2007 Speedweek races and being crowned the 2007 Legends Thunder Champion as well as the 2007 NW Legends Points Champion. In 20 starts, Kyle finished out side the top five on 2 occasions, the first was due to a destructive crash at WVSO when going for the lead and the other was a 7nth place finish after a stop on pit lane for a damaged steering part. Traveling in the NW Legends series was a challenge and Kyle showed he is going to put his car in the front on dirt or pavement....

For 2008 Kyle is making another HUGE addition to his impressive racing resume, the team is prepping a Sportsman Sprint Car for competition at Skagit Speedway. Once again Kyle has set high expectations for the 2008 season with heat race wins, an A main win and Rookie of the year at the top of the goal list, but the team is always racing for the season championship...........Hope to see ya at the track.....
