2009 Season updates.....
5/16/09.....Another successful race day for Kyle and team. Kyle met most of his goals for the day by finishing on the lead lap and in the top ten for the 5th week in a row. The team is learning what the car and Kyle needs to be fast. Four more races till Dirt Cup, see ya at the track.....
5/09/09.....After a disappointing rain out the week before the team was geared up and ready to hit the track. The weather was great, the track slicked up early and just got slicker as the night progressed. Kyle again impressed us all by his quick transition to the 410 class, Kyle missed near disaster as another competitor lost control and filliped right in front of him as they were racing through turns 3 and 4. Kyle, always looking ahead, saw the car lose control and was able to make the right move to clear the flipping car, allowing him to go on to finish 7th passing some good cars and holding off veteran racers in only his 3rd full start.....
more exciting things to come.......
4/25/09.....What a difference a week makes on a dirt track, the track dried up and provided the team with some dry slick experience early in the season. Kyle did a great job keeping his car hooked up and passed some fast cars, including last weeks winner. Kyle will be able to start in his earned spot next week, both the head official and the head flagger came to Kyle and congratulated him on his driving and said his rookie start rule will be lifted. Can't wait to see what the track will be like next week, Kyle and team will be ready for what ever the conditions may be. See ya at Skagit Speedway next Sat.
4/18/09....Opening night, 2009 at Skagit Speedway was a night to remember. Kyle looked great from the start of the night. The track took its toll on the other competitors in the 410 class. Kyle ran hard, had a few close calls, but stuck in there to come from his 17th starting spot to finish 9th. Kyle performed a lot better then his finishing position showed because mid way into the main; a car caught a rut, causing Kyle to slap the wall with the right rear tire, packing it full of mud. Kyle pulled the Louis Auto Glass sprinter into the pits to remove the mud and fell off the lead lap in the process. When Kyle made it back out he passed cars and was the 3rd car across the finish line at the end of the race. Only one more week of our rookie status requiring us to start in the rear of the races,. We are sure it wont be long until Kyle is running up front. See Ya at the track......
4/11/09........Play Day 2009 went great for Kyle and team, first run had the team and Kyle white knuckled, but it did not take long for Kyle to reign in all that 410 horse power. By the last run he looked racey and excited for opening night next week. The 2009 season will be a wild and exciting year for the team, Check out the pics from playday (thanks grandma Barb) see ya at the track.....
